Radio-Controlled drifting refers to the act of drifting with a radio-controlled car. Radio-controlled cars are equipped with special low grip tires, and the car setup is usually changed to allow the car to drift more easily, by replacing engines, shocks, tires, weight balance, brakes, and other factors. Radio-controlled drifting involves skill, and knowledge. Radio-controlled drifting is most successful on 4WD (Four wheel drive) Radio-Controlled cars.
Many people do radio-controlled drifting as a hobby, and put a lot of effort into creating and modifying their radio-controlled cars. Events, championships and a serious of challenges are held. Awards and/or prizes are often given for the winners, or they may be held just for the mere fact of gathering people and having some fun. When you judge a drift, it is based on the line, drift angle, speed, and show factor; it is not about who finishes first.
